As a former New York City prosecutor, federal law clerk, and accomplished defense attorney with nearly two decades of experience, I established the Law Office of Joshua D. Kirshner in order to provide cost effective counsel tailored to achieve the best result for each client.

Joshua D. Kirshner

An experienced and dedicated advocate, Joshua D. Kirshner focuses his practice on all aspects of white collar and traditional criminal defense in both federal and state courts. He also utilizes his vast experience and skillset to handle serious personal injury claims for his clients.

Early in his career, Mr. Kirshner served as an assistant district attorney in the Bronx where he prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases, tried numerous jury trials, and was assigned to the Rackets Bureau which allowed him to gain significant experience conducting complex long-term investigations. This experience helped develop his exceptional trial and investigatory skills and provided him with a unique insight into the criminal justice system which he employs to provide the most effective defense strategies possible for his clients.

Mr. Kirshner also served as a federal law clerk to the Honorable William H. Pauley III of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Following his clerkship with Judge Pauley, Mr. Kirshner worked at Brafman & Associates, P.C. as a trial attorney. For ten years, Mr. Kirshner worked with Ben Brafman, Marc Agnifilo, and others at the firm where he represented high profile clients in a full array of criminal cases. Notably, over the last several years, he has secured a string of significant verdicts for his clients in both federal and state court.

Mr. Kirshner also proudly serves on the CJA Panel for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, where he zealously represents indigent clients. Along with practicing before all New York state courts, Mr. Kirshner is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is an active member of the New York Council of Defense Lawyers, among his other professional affiliations.
